  • Central City Rock 'n Roll Cruise In
The three day festival kicks off with GOSPEL FEST on Wednesday night, August 29. The "Crabb Family Members and Friends" are a big hit and a great beginning for our Labor Day weekend events. On Thursday night, August 30, visitors can enjoy BLUEGRASS NIGHT with the River Bottom Bluegrass Band and Friends. The country humor along with the great sounds is a hit with our locals as well as our visitors. The CRUISE IN --"where the cars are the stars"-- begins on Friday, August 31, with "souped-up cars" and a "ready to cruise attitude". The famous Central City Strip is the cruisin' place to be. On Saturday, September 1, antique cars, custom cars, and street cars are in mint condition as their owners proudly display their "trophies" at the CAR SHOW. From 11:00 until 1:00 visitors can enjoy the POKER RUN which will start on North First Street. Upon returning to the beginning destination, motorcyclists are sure to enjoy the MOTORCYCLE SHOW, which will take place at 1:00 pm. Giveaways, prizes, trophies and awards will conclude the event, but stick around for the concert that night. Saturday night, September 1 brings the Rock 'n Roll era to the CENTRAL CITY MUSIC FESTIVAL. Visitors will re-live the do-whop sounds from the 50's and up to the current songs of today. Not only does this Labor Day event provide great entertainment, but food vendors and arts/crafts booths are also an added plus! Come enjoy a great weekend in Central City, KY.
