Mose Rager Day April 10, 2010 -5pm-11:30pm
A yearly event held the second Saturday in April features food, fun, and of course, thumb picking Mose Rager style.

1st Annual Dulcimers on the Green Festival April 16-17, 2010

Freedom Fest Celebration July 2010–4:00 pm-10pm

Kentucky Deer Classic August 28, 2010 -8am-4pm
Held at the Muhlenberg County Ag & Convention Center, hunters can hone their skills and rub elbows with hunting celebrities on the fourth Saturday in August. 270-338-542

Gospel Fest September 1, 2010-6 pm-10:30pm Central City, KY -Wednesday of Labor Day Weekend-a gospel event that features the likes of Jason Crabb, Crabb family members and friends plus other well known talent such as Gold City.
Muhlenberg’s Got Talent September 2, 2010-8:00 pm Central City, KY-- Thursday of Labor Day Weekend-talent contestants can win monies and a chance to perform on stage the night of the Everly Brothers/Central City Rock ‘n Roll Concert.
Central City Cruise In September 3, 2010-5:00pm-11:00pm Friday afternoon begins the Cruise In event “Where The Cars Are The Stars.” The event brings car enthusiasts of every kind to Central City’s downtown area. Lots of vendors, fun, prizes, and giveaways.
Central City Car Show September 4, 2010-8 am-3:00pm
Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend begins early with the Car Show registration in the downtown area. Judged by decades, this event continues to grow each year. First 100 to register receive goody bags. Awards presentation in the afternoon.
Central City Poker Run and Motorcycle Show September 4, 2010
The Poker Runs originates in and returns to the downtown area. The Run begins and 11:00 and concludes at 1:00, but all is not over. The Motorcycle Show begins at 1:00 and ends at 3:00. T-shirt giveaways, and trophies are a part of the bikers dream.
Everly Brothers/Central City Rock ’n Roll Concert September 4, 2010-6:30 pm-11:00 The concert event opens with a pre-show that features 50’s music. As the night progresses, the rock ‘n roll sounds progress from the 50’s to the present era of music filling the downtown area with family fun, excitement, and top-quality entertainment.
International Thumb Picking Weekend September 24-26, 2010 6pm The last of September, this three-day event features a unique style of picking that began in Muhlenberg County. Location: Merle Travis Center, Powderly, KY (270) 977-0409

Other things to see in the county in addition to our events:
ATTRACTIONS: Rails to Trails- six miles of multi-use, handicapped accessible trail connects two communities—Central City and Greenville, KY. Other amenities along the trail include a covered bridge and rest area, sightings of rare birds and animals in their natural habitats, and an antique caboose that houses antiquities of railroading in Kentucky and abroad.
Merle Travis Monument-located in Drakesboro, the monument is a tribute to the musical career of Merle Travis
Everly Brothers Landmark-located at 208 North First Street in Central City, this landmark, a tribute to two of western Kentucky’s most prized musical greats, chronicles the brothers travels and successes during their musical career.
Paradise Park Museum Complex-a full size coal mining town from the 1920’s era, celebrates Muhlenberg Counties once world class coal mining era as well as some of the old country homes, schools, and musical heritage; located in Powderly, KY 270-338-5961
